Lympholyte® Cell Separation Media
Specifically designed centrifugation media for isolation of viable
lymphocytes and other specific cell populations. All products are supplied
in liquid format.
Applications include:
- Isolation of viable lymphocytes (particularly spleen) by removal
of red cells and dead cells.
- Removal of dead cells from lymphocyte suspensions; for example after
treatment with antibody plus complement or following cell culture.
- Lympholyte®-H and Lympholyte®-Mammal are preferred
for the isolation of viable lymphocytes from human peripheral blood
and animal peripheral blood, respectively. Specific Lympholyte®
solutions are also available for Rat, Mouse and Rabbit.
- Lympholyte®-Poly is ideally suited for isolation of
polymorphonuclear granulocytes from human whole blood. Mononuclear
and polymorphonuclear leucocytes are separated into two distinct bands
free from erythrocytes. It has also been found suitable for the isolation
of neutrophils from bronchial lavage suspension.
- Lympholyte®-1.1 can be used for many cell types, for
example pancreatic islet cells
